We would like to invite all students enrolled on a Pre-registration Nursing programme at Kingston University and St George's, University of London, and Gibraltar Health Authority to take part in the first Student Nurse Academic Partnership (SNAP) conference.
We would like you to think about an idea or experience you would like to share with other student nurses. This can be about your journey into nursing, an idea from nursing theory, an experience on placement (including electives), an interesting clinical case you have worked on, your experience of nursing education or any other aspect of nursing education or practice.
Your abstract also needs to have a clear message for other people. There must be a point you are wanting to get across in your abstract. You may want to think about what you want others to learn from it.
We then want you to identify an Academic Partner you would like to work with. This can be a module leader, APPL tutor, Liaison Lecturer, or any other member of academic staff. Contact the academic partner about your idea and try to schedule a time to discuss this with them. Their role is to help you write your abstract; to make it as good as it can be.
You may want to work with other students on an idea. If a group of you have been on placement together, worked on a project together or you went on an elective together, you may want work on an abstract together. Group abstracts are welcomed.
The important dates and submission details are broken down and contained in the Abstract, Presentation, and Paper tabs above. The Flow Chart details the whole submission, presentation and publication process.
If you don't want to participate we hope that you will come along and attend the SNAP conference on Wednesday 13th January 2016 at St George's, University of London, to support your peers, to learn from each other and celebrate nursing at Kingston, St George's and Gibraltar.
